Htin is a 52-year-old man from Burma. He is a motorbike taxi driver, and he lives with his wife and two daughters. He is the sole earner for his family. Early this month, Htin got into a motorcycle accident while he was riding. Currently, he experiences pain in his right elbow and pinky finger, which were both fractured in the accident. He also scraped his leg in the accident, which causes some discomfort as well. With the help of our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, Htin will undergo surgery to reset his fractured bones and ensure proper healing. The procedure is scheduled for June 19 and will cost $1,500. After surgery, Htin will be able to do his job a again and can support his family financially. He says, "If it had been my left hand, I would not have considered surgery, but I need my right arm in order to do my job. It is just important for me to get back to work."

Lebahati is a 16-year-old from Tanzania. He is the third child in a family of seven. He loves playing football. After Lebahati was born, he began to experience unpleasant symptoms. The family walked a long distance to visit the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a bowel malformation. The family learned that he would need to undergo several procedures to correct the condition. Lebahati's father borrowed money from friends to pay for the first procedure, but his parents were unable to raise enough money to pay for further treatment. Fortunately, the family learned about our medical partner's care center and came seeking help. Now, Lebahati is scheduled to undergo another corrective surgery on July 11. This treatment will cost $1,500, and his family needs help raising these funds. He says, "Help me because I also want to go to school too."

Sok is a girl from Cambodia. She has two sisters and two brothers. She enjoys reading and eating fruit. After school, she likes to play with her neighbors outside and sing. Sok was born with scoliosis, which is progressing with age, making it difficult to sit in school for long periods, and causing a lot of discomfort. Surgery can help correct the position of her spine, and prevent further worsening of the condition. She needs to undergo a rod expansion to improve her posture and get rid of her back pain. Surgery is scheduled for June 12 at our medical partner's care center. Now, her family needs help raising $1,500. She says, "I hope my back doesn't hurt so much after surgery and I can return to school."
