Sarah is a 33-year-old a lady from Uganda. She is expecting a new baby and has been receiving antenatal care in Nyakibale. Sarah completed senior six and pursued university, where she studied secondary teaching and was able to teach for a few years.
During her marriage, she delivered two children in 2015 and 2016 through C-section. Unfortunately, her husband had a previous wife who passed away, leaving three children that they were raising together until they separated. She returned home, and has lost her job. Despite the challenges, she engages in small-scale farming to produce food, compensating for the land shortage she faces due to losing her teaching job.
She currently lives with her parents in a two-roomed house. Sarah is fond of sports and during her free time, she enjoys watching football and movies.
She is currently expecting her third child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of her higher-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Sarah undergo a ceasarean section on December 14th. This procedure will cost $252, and Sarah needs your support.
Sarah says, “I am suffering as I am now a single lady, I appeal to donors to support me in delivering my baby since am not able to afford the surgery bills.”
