Kansiime is a 19-year-old farmer from Uganda.
In April of 2017, Kansiime had a difficult pregnancy, which resulted in the hospital giving her a urinary catheter. After the catheter was removed, Kansiime had trouble controlling her urine. She was diagnosed with a fistula, an abnormal passage between two organs, and was recommended to undergo surgery.
Kansiime is scheduled to undergo surgery to correct her condition on July 6. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $297 to cover the total cost of her procedure and care.
After surgery, she will have peace of mind and be able to resume her daily activities comfortably.
“After surgery I will go for a thanks-giving mass in church,” she says.
