Vouchleng is a 61-year-old rice farmer who is married with three daughters and three grandchildren. She likes to listen to monks pray at the pagoda and exercise in her free time.
One year ago, Vouchleng developed a cataract in each eye, causing her blurred vision and tearing. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, working, and going anywhere outside.
When Vouchleng learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On June 13, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in each eye. After recovery, Vouchleng will be able to see clearly again. Now, she needs help to fund this $292 procedure.
