Abegael is a one-month-old baby girl from Kenya. She lives with her parents who both work as farmers.
Abegael was born with an anal rectal malformation, causing her to be born without an anal opening. Abegael’s mother noticed that whenever her daughter tried to pass stool she would cry, and would sometimes vomit after eating. Her condition poses many health risks if left untreated, so surgery has been recommended to correct her condition.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $708 to fund Abegael’s corrective surgery, which is scheduled for June 30.
“I did not know such things happen but I am glad there is a solution to it. It will be a great thing to us so that we can enlighten other people all around,” Abegael’s father shares.
