Joseph is a retired mechanic from Malawi. He enjoys farming on his small family farm during his retirement years. He lives with his wife and two children.
Since July 2010, Joseph has been experiencing pain and urinary difficulty. These symptoms are caused by an enlarged prostate, a condition called benign prostatic hyperplasia. He needs to undergo a prostate resection surgery, a procedure in which surgeons will remove part of the enlarged gland.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $733 to fund Joseph’s surgery. On November 8, he will undergo prostate surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and two weeks of hospital stay. He is so happy to finally receive this surgery because he has been waiting for so long to be free from these health problems.
He says, “I am so happy for this program which will finally bring me relief from these health issues I have been experiencing for so long!”
