Christina is a three-year-old girl and the youngest child in a family of six children. Christina’s parents are small scale farmers. They grow maize and vegetables for their food, and they also have cattle from which they get milk.
For a year and a half, Christina has had an umbilical hernia. The hernia has increased in size and has become painful. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Christina to receive treatment. On May 20th, she will undergo hernia repair surgery at AMH’s care center. Now, AMH is requesting $566 to fund Christina’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably and confidently.
Christina’s father shared, “our daughter has had this problem for a long time and it has not been easy for her due to the pain, but because of financial challenges we have not been able to take her to any hospital. Kindly help our daughter.”
