Sovoeun is a baker from Cambodia. She has three sons. She likes to tend to her vegetable garden in her free time.
Four years ago, she was in a motor vehicle accident that caused a fracture in her right leg. She went to an emergency hospital, where doctors fixated hardware to heal her fracture. Now, the hardware is causing her pain, and it is difficult for her to walk.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On May 4, Sovoeun will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. This procedure will help her walk easily again.
She says, “I hope after the operation I can walk without pain. I look forward to spending time with my sons.”
