Lot is a farmer from Cambodia. She has two sons, three daughters, and eight grandchildren. She likes to play with and teach her grandchildren.
Five years ago, Lot developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her irritation, blurred vision, and photophobia. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Lot learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for five hours seeking treatment. On September 6, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her left eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
She says, “I hope I can see better and I look forward to going outside on my own.”
