Ampaire is a child from Uganda. He is the second born in a family of four. Ampaire is in grade five, and two of his siblings are also in primary school. His parents are farmers who cultivate food for home consumption and for sale.
Since 2012, Ampaire has had a hydrocele, which is a swelling in a sensitive area. The hydrocele causes him discomfort and pain, which affects his performance in school. Fortunately, on January 17, he will undergo hydrocele repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $185 to fund Ampaire’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
His mother says, “My son’s health is being disturbed by this condition…he needs help. We are unable to pay for his treatment.’’
