Yeath is a 35-year-old man from Cambodia who is married and has two sons. He works as both a farmer and motorcycle taxi driver for a living. In his free time, he likes to watch TV, listen to the radio, and read magazines.
About five years ago, Yeath was in a motor vehicle accident, which caused fractures of his left femur and left tibia. After the accident, he underwent ORIF procedures, which placed hardware in his femur and tibia to help heal his fractures. However, Yeath has been experiencing pain and discomfort when he walks as a result of the hardware.
Yeath heard about our medical partner, Children’s Medical Centre (CSC), from his neighbor who had surgery at CSC before. Yeath traveled for four hours with his wife to reach CSC for treatment.
On July 13, surgeons at CSC will remove the hardware from Yeath’s femur and tibia to help him walk easily again. The $214 requested to fund Yeath’s treatment will cover the full cost of the procedure, including labs, supplies, radiology, and surgeon time.
