Happy is a 37-year-old woman who came to the hospital with polyhydramnios and complaints of abdominal discomfort for the last month. She gets easy tiredness and she is unable to sleep well. She doesn’t eat due to lack of appetite and has discomfort. She was reviewed by the gynaecologist and is recommended for a Caesarean Section.
Happy dropped out of school in the fifth grade due to lack of money as she lost her mother who was a single parent. She went to live with her grandparents and shared with us that she has had a difficult life.
She married a small-scale farmer and they have one child and are expecting their second child. She lost her firstborn baby shortly after delivery in 2012, but her child born in 2015 is doing well and they are hopeful to be expecting again.
Happy shared, “I hope that my surgery will be successful to enable me to have a healthy baby so that I may not remember my firstborn.”
