Nge is an 11-year-old girl from Burma born with cerebral palsy. She attends Starflower school, where her disability needs are met. She is a bright girl. Nge primarily uses a knee walker to get around her environment, though she prefers to be pushed around in a wheelchair.
To help with her mobility, Nge was referred to our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund (BCMF), for Achilles tendon lengthening surgery. This procedure will help alleviate the tightening in her calves.
On May 4, Nge will undergo surgery at Mawlamyine Christian Leprosy Hospital, BCMF’s care center. BCMF is asking for $1,500 to cover the cost of her surgery.
After treatment, Nge will be able to move around more easily!
