“Manisha was standing on the porch of her house watching the thunder and lightening in her village when a sudden gust of wind caused her to lose her balance,” our medical partner, Possible, explains. “She fell off and fractured her right leg. Since her injury, Manisha has been in a lot of pain and needs help moving about or doing basic activities on her own.”
Manisha is a 9-year-old girl from Nepal. “Her father works in India to support the family back home whereas her mother stays at home to look after the family and tend to the farm,” Possible continues. “Unfortunately, her parents are not with her right now because they had gone to India for her younger brother’s treatment.”
$224 will cover survery to realign Manisha’s bone and ensure it heals correctly.
“I hope for Manisha’s treatment to happen soon. Because our parents are not around, she must be feeling worse in addition to the physical pain,” shares her brother.
“Usually a happy child, Manisha is currently studying in the first standard. She enjoys playing with her friends and reading Nepali stories as well,” Possible shares.
