Tumusiime works in a stationery shop and is a small scale farmer from Uganda. She is married with one child. Her son has graduated from school but is yet to be employed and is married with two children. She would not afford to raise the bills for her surgery.
For the past two years, Tumusiime has been experiencing lower abdominal pain. She has been diagnosed with uterine fibroids. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $208 to fund Tumusiime’s surgery. On August 22nd, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Once recovered, Tumusiime will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Tumusiime says, “I will be grateful if my condition is relieved and I continue with my business of stationery and farming.”
