Finy is a six-year-old girl from Cambodia. She has two siblings—one sister and one brother. She likes to spend time reading her school books, playing house, watching TV, and playing with her neighbors.
When Finy was younger, her feet were badly burned from a fire. She developed contractures, scarring that tightened the skin, making it difficult to walk. In May, she came to our medical partner and underwent contracture release surgery on her left foot. She now requires the same procedure on her right foot.
Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting $448 to fund Finy’s surgery. She is scheduled for treatment at our medical partner’s care center, Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, on July 5. After treatment, she will be able to walk normally once again.
