“I want to be able to keep studying so that I can open a business one day,” shares Noé, a 33-year-old man from Guatemala. “This will allow me to earn money to take care of my mother.”
Years ago, Noé used to work as a truck driver. But one day, he was in an accident that caused him to lose his arm. This event changed his entire life. Not only did Noé lose his job, but he also had to quit his studies.
Due to his family’s financial struggles, Noé had started school later in life. At the time of his accident, he had reached only an elementary school-level education. Because of this, the only job that Noé has been able to get since his accident is selling herbal medicine—an income source that barely covers the daily needs of himself and his aging mother.
But with your help, Noé will have a second chance. For $1,166, we can provide him with a prosthetic arm specially crafted for him. This funding will cover not only the costs of the prosthesis itself, but also the fitting sessions necessary to design the arm, set to begin on June 6.
Let’s make sure this young man has everything he needs to pursue his career goals and support his mother.
