Muramuzi is a farmer from Uganda. He is a married father to four children and are all still studying. He is a subsistence farmer earning a living through growing both commercial crops like coffee and other home sustaining crops like beans, cassava, and maize. He works the farm together with his wife and children in order to earn a living for his family, pay for his children school fees, and provide basic domestic needs for their household.
Muramuzi has a painful right illac fossa mass for one year now. This condition has affected his ability to work and he has difficulty sleeping on his right side.
Muramuzi traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On April 14th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Muramuzi needs help to raise $187 to fund this procedure.
Muramuzi says, “I hope that when treated, I will have a good health once again and be able to cultivate so as to provide for my family.”

Muramuzi underwent a mass removal.
Muramuzi had a successful laporatomy treatment due to his retroperitoneal abscess. Surgeons planned to do a mass excision treatment but during surgery found out that the solid mass was an abscess that had developed into the retroperitoneal cavity. Doctors drained the pus and also evacuated the cause of the abscess with an exparatory laporatomy and his treatment was successful. The surgery also eliminated the risks for the re-infection.
Muramuzi shared his gratitude saying, “I had almost lost my life but thank you for intervening to restore my health. I will always say thank you for your support. I hope to resume farming for our survival.”
