Sher is a 5-year-old boy living in Nepal with his mother and grandparents. “Sher’s family tends to the farm to make ends meet,” our medical partner, Possible, says. “His father lives in India to support the family. Sher attends kindergarten and enjoys singing rhymes.”
“Sher was running home from school when he tripped,” Possible explains. “Sher fractured his arm from the fall. He has been in a lot of pain since and the area of injury has swollen.”
$224 will cover the cost of an orthopedic repair for Sher’s fracture. This procedure, along with the help of physiotherapy, will allow Sher to move about and return to all of the activities that he could do before the accident. Sher’s bones will be aligned correctly and protected with a cast.
“Sher is a very restless child,” said Sher’s grandfather, “I hope he is more careful.”
