Natukunda is a 42 year old farmer, living with her husband and four children. Natukunda comes from a family of nine children, with varying levels of education. Because of a lack of school fees, Natukunda left school at an early age, and has spent her life growing foods like beans, maize and millet. Her husband of 22 years works as a builder.
Natukunda is currently expecting a new babyd. Her doctors have recommended that she deliver via a Caesarean section, because of fetal macrosomia, a condition where the baby is too large to deliver safely vaginally.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Natukunda undergo a C-section on December 28th at Karoli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale. This procedure will cost $252, and Natukunda needs your support to ensure a safe and healthy outcome for both mother and child.
Natukunda says: “I hope for a better delivery outcome and I believe with your support, it will successfully be possible.”
