Francis is a 52-year-old farmer from Uganda. Because of his wife’s unfortunate passing, Francis has been raising their three children on his own for the past eight years. In his free time, Francis enjoys spending time with his children, participating in the village savings and loan association, and listening to health programs on the radio.
For over ten years, Francis has been experiencing pain due to a swelling on his scrotum. Despite his persistent pain, Francis had been unable to end his discomfort due to the high cost of treatment. Upon learning about Watsi programs, Francis received a medical examination and was diagnosed with a scrotal cyst that needs surgical excision.
On top of the $3 subsidized by Francis, our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is requesting $196 to cover the cost of mass excision surgery. The procedure is scheduled to take place on July 6 and, once completed, will hopefully allow Francis to live more comfortably. Following his treatment, Francis is looking forward to farming more and making bricks for additional income.
“I thank all the donors for their support,” says Francis. “I pray that peace will be with the donors always.”
