Chab is a 59-year-old husband and father of four sons and four daughters from Cambodia. In his free time, he likes to plant trees around his home, watch TV, and listen to the news on the radio.
In 1993, Chab sustained a landmine injury of his right leg. He went to his provincial hospital, and doctors performed a below-knee amputation. About three months ago, Chab developed a wound on his stump that caused him chronic pain.
He visited our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), for treatment. Surgeons at CSC will perform a stump revision procedure to relieve Chab of pain and help him live comfortably again. The procedure is scheduled for July 14, and CSC is requesting $327 to fund the treatment.
