Sok Leang is a 19-year-old fisherman from Cambodia. He is part of a large family with four brothers and two sisters. Sok Leang derives much pleasure from his fishing work. In his free time, he likes to listen to the radio and spend time with his siblings.
When Sok Leang was 11 years old, he received a poorly administered injection in his right thigh, which caused him to develop quadricep fibrosis. This condition has caused Sonk Leang pain and stiffness in his knee, which affect his ability to walk and work. He sought help from our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC).
Physicians have scheduled Sok Leang for a quadriceplasty on February 24. CSC is requesting $425 to fund the procedure. This procedure will improve mobility in his leg and relieve much of the pain he is currently experiencing. Sok Leang looks forward to returning to work pain-free.
