Soeun is a 73-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. She enjoys listening to the monks pray on the radio and attending ceremonies at the nearby pagoda.
Two months ago, Soeun developed entropion of the eyelids. This means that her eyelids are turned inwards, causing irritation and rubbing against the surface of her eye. She finds it difficult to see clearly and her eyes always tear up.
Soeun traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On April 25, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), will perform a corrective procedure to repair her eyelids. Now, Soeun needs help to raise $212 to fund this procedure.
She says, “I hope that after surgery, the tearing and irritation will stop and I will be able to see clearly and go outside on my own.”
