Charles is married and a father of nine children: four sons and five daughters. He lives in southwestern Uganda and operates a small pub with his wife. Through their small business earnings, they have been able to educate their children. However, since the pandemic lockdown was declared in Uganda, business was disrupted, resulting in even lower income.
For two years, Charles has experienced an inguinal hernia that causes him pain and discomfort. He visited the care center at our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), and doctors recommended hernia repair surgery to address the condition and risk of developing hernia strangulation.
On November 4th, Charles will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Upon recovery, he will be able to live more comfortably and confidently. AMH is requesting $230 to fund Charles’s surgery.
Charles shared, “I hope to receive the operation, recover, and continue with my business to sustain my family.”
