Kyarisima is a homemaker and mother of two children, both of whom are attending good schools. Her husband is a hawker who tries to sell items around town. They manage to get school fees for their children through small loans from financial lending institutions.
17 years ago, Kyarisima developed a swell on her left forehead that has been increasing over time. The swell was painless in the beginning but recently started cause periods of headaches. Kyarisim is afraid that without treatment, the abnormal mass could turn to out to be more serious.
Kyarisima traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On August 3rd, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is requesting $145 to fund this procedure.
Kyarisima says, “I pray and hope that I may be considered for surgery. I wish to feel and look normal again and feel comfortable during gatherings and social activities in our village. I plan to start farming in order to assist my husband in developing our family.”
