Moo is a 35-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her older sister in Naung Del Village, Hlaingbwe Township, Karen State. Moo and her sister are day laborers.
In February 2019, the right side of Moo’s abdomen started to hurt. Doctors want Moo to undergo a CT scan, a procedure in which x-ray images taken from several angles are combined to produce cross-sectional images of the body. This scan will hopefully help doctors diagnose her condition and formulate an appropriate treatment plan.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $414 to cover the cost of Moo’s CT scan and care, scheduled for April 26.
Moo said, “I do not want to be a burden to my sister. I hope to go back to work next year and continue to live happily with my sister like in the past.”
