Ellen is a mother of three from Malawi. Ellen and her husband run a small farm, and she spends her days caring for her home and children. In her free time, Ellen likes to spend quality time with her husband.
Since November 217, Ellen has been experiencing abdominal pain. She has been diagnosed with ovarian cysts, which are fluid-filled sacs on the ovaries. She needs to undergo an ovarian cystectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will excise the cysts.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $541 to fund Ellen’s surgery. On February 8, she will undergo gynecological surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and seven nights of hospital stay. Ellen was thrilled to find out her surgery would be funded. She is looking forward to going back to her home and family pain-free.
She says, “Thank you.”
