One-year-old ChyHan lives with her family—including two sisters and two brothers—in Cambodia. Her mother stays at home to care for her.
ChyHan was born with a nevus (mole) on her left lower and upper eyelid. On December 8, 2016, her mother traveled four hours to take her to Watsi’s medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). With assistance from Watsi, ChyHan underwent successful surgical removal of the nevus and a skin graft.
Now, ChyHan returns to CSC for a follow-up procedure. On June 21, surgeons will perform an excision and skin graft procedure to continue to help ChyHan feel more comfortable. She may need to return to CSC for further treatments.
CSC requests $440 to pay for the skin graft, 10 days of hospital care, lab tests, food, physical therapy, and medical supplies.
