Rossette is a 35-year-old housewife from Uganda. Her husband works in a retail shop and supports his wife as she has not been able to find a job. During her free time, Rossette enjoys visiting her friends. Rossette is currently expecting her first child. She received antenatal care at Rushoroza Hospital, where her doctors recommended that she deliver via a Cesarean section because of breech presentation at term. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Rossette undergo a C-Section on March 1st. This procedure will cost $214 and Rossette needs your support. Rosette says, “I hope I will have a successful surgery with a positive outcome. After complete recovery, I will continue to search for a job. May God bless you.”

Racheal is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. She studied up to secondary school in class two before dropping out due to financial constraints. Her husband is also a farmer, and they have two children. Racheal's eldest child is three and a half years old and in nursery school and her second child is two years old. They stay in a four-room mud house and work hard to make ends meet for their family. During her free time, she enjoys working on her small farm. Racheal is currently expecting her third child. She received antenatal care at Maziba Health Centre IV and reported to Rushoroza Hospital on 17th January. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because her pregnancy is high risk and this way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Racheal undergo a C-Section on January 19th. This procedure will cost $214, and Racheal needs your support. Rachael says, “I am praying for a successful surgery with a positive outcome and hope to be back to my farming and life as I recover."

Theara is a 15-year-old girl who lives with her grandparents and her younger brother. Theara's grandparents have taken on the primary caregiver role, while her parents work in a factory a few hours away, regularly sending money to support their family. Theara was born with cerebral palsy, resulting in musculoskeletal difficulties, but she can still independently walk short distances and ride a bike. She loves biking with the kids in the village, and enjoys eating mangoes and watermelon. However, Theara has been experiencing crouch gait, a walking pattern characterized by excessive bending of the knees during the stance phase of walking. Over the last several months, she has struggled with difficulties in walking, sitting, and sleeping comfortably. Theara was referred to our medical partner, Children's Surgery Centre. On March 7th, Theara will undergo osteotomy surgery to ease her discomfort and improve her mobility. Theara's family is requesting for your help to support the $469 procedure. Theara expressed her hope for better health so that she can participate in a local schooling program designed for children with disabilities.
