Norman is a baby from Tanzania. He is the youngest in a family of two. His parents are small-scale farmers.
Since he was three months old, Norman has had an inguinal hernia. If not treated, the hernia may result in intestinal tissue damage. Fortunately, on September 17, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $539 to fund Norman’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.

Norman did not receive treatment as expected.
Unfortunately, Norman was not able to undergo surgery due to low hemoglobin levels. He has been put on medication. He will be rescheduled for surgery, at which point he will be re-eligible for Watsi funding.
