Kengyeyo is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. She is married with eight children, and all are in school.
For two months, Kengyeyo has been experiencing bleeding and severe lower abdominal pain. She has been diagnosed with a large uterine myoma. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $208 to fund Kengyeyo’s surgery. On February 1, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Once recovered, Kengyeyo will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Kengyeyo says, “I hope to continue with cultivation after surgery.”
