Ampeire is a farmer from Uganda and during her free time, she enjoys doing tailoring as a friend taught her how. She completed sixth grade in school, but did not proceed with education due to limited financial support from her family. Her husband is a builder on construction sites around their village. They own a three room incomplete semi-permanent house for shelter.
She has six children: Her oldest child is 13 years old and in primary school class seven, her second born is 12 years old and in primary school class five, she lost her third child two weeks after birth. Her fourth born is 8 years old and in primary school class one, fifth born is 5 years old and in preschool, and her youngest is 3 years old and hasn’t yet started school. She shared that their family has a very difficult time when looking for school fees for their children. They earn a very limited income and are not able to afford the cost of the c-section that her doctors are recommending.
She is currently expecting her seventh child. Her doctors are concerned about a safe delivery and have told her that she needs to have a c-section to ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Ampeire undergo a C-Section on September 26th. This procedure will cost $207, and Ampeire needs your support.
Ampeire shared with us, “we are in a tricky financial situation. I look forward to resuming farming as soon as possible to be able to support, sustain, and develop my family.”
