Myat is a 44-year-old woman from Thailand. She is a teacher and just got married last month. Her husband is in Burma and she lives with her sister, brother in-law, and niece.
In the beginning of 2018, Myat was involved in a motorcycle accident. Two weeks after the accident, she was still feeling pain in her stomach, chest, and back.
Doctors want Myat to undergo a CT scan, a procedure in which x-ray images taken from several angles are combined to produce cross-sectional images of the body. This scan will hopefully help doctors diagnose her condition and formulate an appropriate treatment plan.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $414 to cover the cost of Myat’s CT scan and care, scheduled for June 14.
Myat said, “I want to get well soon and work hard to achieve a good life again.”
