Sreynat is a third grade student from Cambodia. She has one younger sister. She likes to watch Tom and Jerry on TV. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
Three months ago, Sreynat developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her blurry vision. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Sreynat’s family learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, they traveled for four hours seeking treatment. On September 6, doctors will perform a lens aspiration an intraocular lens implant in her left eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
Her mother says, “I worry about my daughter’s vision. I hope she can see better and return to school.”
