Orn is a loving and caring grandmother from Cambodia. She and her husband have three sons, two daughters, and thirteen beautiful grandchildren. Her husband works as a farmer, and she sells vegetables from her home. Orn enjoys cooking for her family and walking her grandchildren to school.
Last December, Orn was hit by a motorbike while crossing the road in her village, causing the ulnar bone in her left forearm to become fractured. At a local clinic, she underwent surgery where pins were inserted to help heal the fracture. However, the bone did not heal properly. Orn now experiences constant pain in her arm, as well as a tingling and prickling sensation in several of her left-hand fingers due to nerve compression. She cannot use her arm and struggles performing daily activities like cooking and cleaning for her family.
Fortunately, our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is helping Orn undergo treatment. She is scheduled to undergo an osteotomy, radial head excision, and bone graft to help finally heal her condition on August 4th. Now, she needs help funding this $469 procedure.
Orn says, “I hope the doctors can fix my arm. I will have no pain and take care of my family again.”
