Atuweni is a widow with nine children from Malawi. She enjoys housework, and she has a lot of grandchildren to play with in her free time.
Since May 2018, Atuweni has been experiencing back and abdominal pain. She has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $650 to fund Atuweni’s surgery. On October 5, she will undergo gynecological surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and seven nights of hospital stay.
She says, “Thank you for helping me so that I can return to caring for my home and children!”
