Rosete is a gentle, 27-year-old school teacher, living with her husband and two children. Rosete’s husband also works as a teacher at the same school as Rosete and they work hard to make ends meet. To supplement their income, Rosete does some farming.
Rosete is carrying her third pregnancy and has begun experiencing abdominal pain. She attended antenatal care at a local hospital, where she was told that her pregnancy is high risk, which might result in a ruptured uterus if she undergoes a vaginal delivery. Her doctor has advised her to schedule a Caesarean section, which offers a better chance for a safe and healthy outcome but their family needs help to pay for her treatment.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is seeking $252 to cover the cost of this procedure, which is currently scheduled for May 19th, at the Karoli Lwanga Hospital in Nyakibale.
Rosete says: “I hope that, given your support, I will be able to safely deliver and go home with my healthy baby.”
