Emilidia is a 76-year-old farmer from Malawi. Emilidia is a widow, and she lives with some of her grown children. She spends her days cooking and helping to care for her family. In her downtime, she likes to talk with her children and play with her grandchildren.
Since early May 2017, Emilidia has experienced pain, which has been caused by an epigastric hernia. This hernia means that Emilidia cannot easily work or take care of her family.
On June 6, Emilidia will undergo surgery to repair her hernia. The $334 requested by our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, for Emilidia’s treatment will fund operating room supplies, medication, physician consultation, and travel. Emilidia is very grateful to Watsi and wants to thank all of Watsi’s donors for their support.
