Lovence is a 28-year-old pregnant mother of two from western Uganda. Lovence and her husband are farmers, while Lovence’s husband also works as a laborer getting daily jobs to supplement their income.
In the fifth month of her current pregnancy, the scars from her two previous Caesarean sections started to ache. At an antenatal visit at Karoli Lwanga Hospital in Nyakibale, Lovence was advised to deliver her third child via Caesarean section, so as to avoid any complications including uterine rupture. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is seeking $252 to fund this procedure, which is scheduled for June 9th, and offers the best chance for a safe delivery of Lovence’s baby.
Lovence says, “I desire to deliver safely for both my baby and my sake. I need your support to do this. I hope to go home alive with my baby to our family as I recover.”
