Aheebwa is a student from Uganda. She is the sixth born in a family of nine. Aheehwa is a first year nursing student. Her parents are small scale farmers.
Since 2008, Aheebwa has had a swelling on her left foot. It has recently become painful.
Aheebwa traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On March 21, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Aheebwa needs help to raise $196 to fund this procedure.
She says, “I can hardly walk because my leg is pains. My condition needs surgery, and my parents are unable to pay for my treatment. I need help so that I can continue with my studies without any disturbance.’’

Aheebwa underwent a mass removal procedure.
Surgery was successful, and she will no longer feel pain. After recovery, she will resume her studies.
She says, “I am now much better. I have high hopes that I am going to heal so easily and be able walk well again without feeling as I used to feel before surgery. I am very excited for my recovery…I am very grateful and appreciative to Watsi for the great work done in my life. For I alone I had no hopes of getting operated. After recovery I will continue with my studies. God bless you.”
