Chanmony is a seven-year-old first grade student from Cambodia. Chanmony’s mother is a seller at the market and her father does not work because he is blind. She is the only child in her family. Chanmony enjoys reading books, playing with her toys, and watching TV.
Five days ago, Chanmony used a cotton bud to clean her ear which is full of ear wax. Her ear canal is blocked by the wax accumulation and the cotton bud made it worse. She feels pain, itchiness, and experiences hearing loss. Under sedation, ENT surgeons will clear out the blockage in Chanmony’s right ear.
Chanmony traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On October 14th, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), will remove the mass and clear her ear canal. Now, Chanmony’s family needs help to raise $231 to fund this procedure.
Chanmony mother said, “I hope my daughter will not be in pain anymore.”
