Hannah is an elderly lady who loves farming. She has five children and lives with her grandson in central Kenya. When she has free time, she loves being with other women from her village. She also reads the Bible often for her spiritual nourishment.
However, Hannah has not been able to read the Bible in recent months due to a left eye cataract. She is also not able to tend to her crops. Hannah has been losing her eyesight gradually over the past year. She came to our medical partner’s care center, where cataract surgery was recommended. If not treated, Hannah will completely lose her sight in her left eye.
Fortunately, she is scheduled to undergo cataract surgery on July 31. She is not able to raise the full amount needed and needs help raising $220.
Hannah says, “I wish to be treated and continue to see with my left eye.”
