Ian is a child from Kenya. He recently took his primary school exams and is waiting to start high school. Ian’s mother is a green grocer, while father is a fruit vendor.
Ian was born with hypospadias, a congenital abnormality that causes urinary dysfunction. He experiences pain and difficulty. Without treatment, he will continue to experience uncomfortable symptoms and will be at risk of infertility.
Fortunately, Ian is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on November 30. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $676 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
Ian’s mother says, “I am very worried because my boy is already big. I hope to get support so that he can be operated soon; hoping he will get back to normal and in the future be able to father his own children.”
