Sok Leap is a 12-year-old student from Cambodia who is in the 6th grade. He lives in Phnom Penh City with his parents and brother. His father is a car repairman and his mother is a homemaker who looks after Sok Leap and his younger brother.
Since Sok Leap was three, he has developed ear infections as a result of having a small hole in his ear, which is easily infected. His mom would buy an antibiotic from the local pharmacy to help him recover. This would help him for a while, but the infection would reoccur. Recently, he had this infection reoccur and he developed a fever, so his mother took him to a local clinic. After diagnosing Sok Leap with a skin pit infection, the clinic referred Sok Leap to our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC) for surgery.
On March 9th, surgeons at CSC will remove the pit that created the whole in his ear, helping him fully heal from this condition. Now, Sok Leap’s family needs help to raise $296 to fund his procedure.
