Twasiima is a 28-year-old shop keeper from Southwestern Uganda. She has a college degree in business administration, but unfortunately has not secured a job yet. She runs a small retail shop, while her husband is a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) driver. During her free time, she enjoys tending to her shop.
Twasiima is expecting her second child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a Caesarean section because in 2019, very sadly, she experienced a stillbirth. When she was examined for her current pregnancy, the doctor recommended a surgery to reduce the risk of uterine rupture and to ensure that the child is safely delivered.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is requesting $207 to help Twasiima undergo a C-Section on July 29th.
Twasiima shared, “I pray for a successful surgery and a good outcome. May God bless me with a child. I will continue to do business to be able to develop my family.”

Twasiima underwent a safe Caesarean section.
Twasiima’s C-section surgery was a success! She delivered a beautiful, healthy baby boy weighing 3.9 kgs (8.60 lbs). Twasiima and her baby were both discharged home in good health. After her full recovery, Twasiima will resume running her family’s retail shop. She is hopeful that, with hard work, her family will soon be able to complete their house.
Twasiima shared, “I thank the Watsi program for their continued support to me. I am a lucky woman and I will keep praying for the existence of the donor program; my husband and I could not afford the surgery. May God bless you.”
