Hope is a peasant farmer from Uganda. She visited our facility with complaints of severe abdominal pains for the last 2 months. The abdominal scan indicated the uterine fibroids. Due to this condition, her quality of life has been affected especially work due to fatigue and pain. A hysterectomy has been recommended to reduce the chances of further pain.
Hope is a mother of five children and practices small scale farming to make ends meet. Her children are not in any formal employment and so not able to provide for their mother’s surgical need.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $208 to fund Hope’s surgery. On November 7th, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Once recovered, Hope will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Hope says, “I pray that I get well and be free from this pain due to God’s mercy and I continue with cultivation.”
