Ko is a 37-year-old man from Burma. He lives in a village with his wife and his father-in-law. Ko dreams of one day building a house he can share with his family.
Ten years ago, Ko began having gastrointestinal issues, with mild but constant stomach pains. In the middle of 2016, his stomach pain has worsened, and he has felt too ill to work since then.
Ko visited a private clinic and was told by the doctor that there was nothing wrong with his stomach. He also had appendix surgery earlier this year, which has only contributed to his stomach pains and makes it difficult to sleep at night.
Our medical partner, the Burma Children Medical fund is seeking $414 to fund a CT scan to explore ways Ko can become healthy again. His scan is scheduled for June 12.
