Chhorvy is a 13-year-old from Cambodia who likes to watch TV, read books, and do housework in her free time. She in the sixth grade and has five sisters and one brother.
In the last three years, Chhorvy has experienced throat pain and has had difficulty in swallowing. She has been diagnosed with hypertrophy of both tonsils. Her enlarged tonsils mean that it is hard for her to breathe and sleep at night.
Chhorvy’s parents found out about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Care, from their relative. Chhorvy and her mother traveled for four hours to reach CSC for treatment.
She is scheduled for surgery on May 30 at our medical partner’s care center, Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, where ENT surgeons will remove her tonsils.
CSC is requesting $221 to help fund Chhorvy’s surgery and hospital care. Hopefully, the surgery will help Chhorvy feel comfortable again.
