Nar Bahadur is a 65-year-old farmer from Nepal. While climbing a hill at night, Nar Bahadur fell and fractured his right humerus (upper arm bone). Living alone, Nar Bahadur does not have any family or support for his painful injury. A previous disability rendered him unable to speak and thus unable to voice the severe pain he is experiencing.
Nar Bahadur will need surgery to relieve his pain and restore the full use of his arm. After treatment, he hopes to continue working on his small farm and as a manual laborer in the offseason.
Unable to work, Nar Bahadur cannot afford the cost of his surgery. For $1,040, our Nepalese partner Nyaya Health can arrange for surgery and help Nar Bahadur return to health.
